This workshop will focus on the vocabulary of yoga and explore the use of improvisation to subvert traditional forms for performance purposes. We will research how asana provides creative impetus for movement, exploring yoga not just as personal practice, but as personal performance. This workshop is open to all levels and movement styles.
Sri Louise is an internationally recognized freelance performer and yoga teacher. She currently lives in Europe where she worked with Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui as physical coach and choreographic assistant and was a prominent performer in his dance/theater production Myth. Sri is a featured yoga teacher at Impulstanz in Vienna and is increasingly becoming an outspoken advocate for dancer rights.
