SFMOMA isn't the only cultural institution in town celebrating a milestone this year. In honor of its 40th anniversary the city-run San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery is holding simultaneous exhibits in its Van Ness Avenue space, its Grove Street window site, and in its City Hall exhibition space. Chain Reaction 11, an exhibit curated chain letter-style, is displayed across all three sites and includes works by Ginger Wolfe-Suarez, Paul Clipson, and many others. Meanwhile, Replay, which is just located in the City Hall space, presents a diverse array of historic posters, photographs, and artwork that illustrates the impact of the SFAC Gallery on the local arts landscape, from its founding in 1970 as Capricorn Asunder Gallery to the present.
