Yvonne Prinz
Thursday Feb 18, 2010 (7:30pm)
“Yvonne Prinz knows a thing or two about music. In addition to being a successful young adult fiction author, Prinz also has the distinction of co-founding independent music retail giant Amoeba with her husband back in 1990. Her new novel The Vinyl Princess isn't quite a roman a clef, but it's hard not to see a bit of Prinz in its plucky heroine, 16-year old vinyl junkie Allie. Tonight, Prinz shares some of Allie's misadventures in blogging (and love) at Booksmith (incidentally, Amoeba's Haight Street neighbors). Matt Edwards, of Music Lovers fame, will play a short acoustic set, truly making this a night of words and guitar.”
