A Mangos with Chili performance constitutes a special sort of magic act: one in which feelings, moods, and even beings are conjured by the electrifying performers as is from the very psyche of the audience itself. The troupe's second annual Valentine's-themed show hinges on the notion that there is no romantic drama like queer and trans person-of-color romantic drama. Choreographer and curator Cherry Galette lays a banquet that includes drag flamenco by Gaston Mazo, a murder mystery/love story filmed by Lex Hall, and a panoply of other dance, spoken word, music, and theater pieces. The event concludes with a Valentine exchange, just in case you were empty-handed on the 14th.
