Filmmaker Astra Taylor brings philosophy to the streets with her eloquent film, Examined Life. The documentary features public intellectual Cornell West, Slovenian philosopher Slavoj Žižek, Australian philosoper Peter Singer, gender theorist Judith Butler, and activist-artist Sunaura Taylor. It's a film Variety calls "A playful riposte to the notion that movies are for turning one’s mind off." So come, ponder the great questions, and take the opportunity to ask some of the director herself.
Astra Taylor will converse with one of the film's featured philosophers - her sister - artist and activist Sunaura Taylor.
