Although Scout Niblett is frequently compared to Cat Power, the singer's razor-sharp vocals and sudden switches from skeletal blues to sludgy grunge feel more in line with PJ Harvey than Chan Marshall's easy-listening grace. The English-born Niblett has lately settled in Portland, OR, and developed her heavier tendencies with legendary producer Steve Albini. Tonight, Niblett opens for local arena prog revivalists Citay. Gris Gris mastermind Greg Ashley and Tape Deck Mountain start things off.
