True Widow play the sort of muscular, brooding rock that Low would turn out if they took up as the backing band at a divey Texas roadhouse (and, indeed, True Widow are native Texans). Full of minor key, repeated riffs that would be metal if their points weren't so filed down by reverb, True Widow's music prefers a steady glower over a full snarl. It's just about perfect.
