“Bombastic Bay Area star John Dwyer is a grizzled and chiseled rock 'n' roller fitted with all the clichés (while in his previous band Coachwhips he went so far as to smash his guitar over the head of a heckler). Thee Oh Sees play visceral garage-rooted, rockabilly-appreciated psych rock filled with waves of noisy feedback, layers of delays and distortion and cherry-topped with Dwyer's and vocalist Brigid Dawson's hum-filled harmonies.”
