“Dance band Groove Armada say they want to show a "darker side" with their new album, Black Light. The production style is slimmer, anchored by a Roland bass. Sass-back vocals on tracks like "I Won't Kneel" and "Paper Romance" alternately shout and pout. Elements like tubular bells and a big vibrato kick up the hues like an ultraviolet bulb over a sweat soaked t-shirt. This evening of dancing in the dark begins with dreamy-sounding, electro-rocking locals Lilofee, who named themselves after an underwater princess from a German fairytale.”

London dance duo Groove Armada consists of Tom Findlay and Andy Cato. The group formed in the mid-'90s after being introduced by Cato's girlfriend and soon started their own club, also named Groove Armada (after a '70s discotheque), which featured their spinning.
