“Curator Brianna Toth has made Tartine Bakery into a gem of an art space. For her latest exhibition, she brings Poland-born Martyna Szczesna from New York to San Francisco for Skarbczyk ("jewel box" or "vault" in Polish.) Szczesna's collages dazzle with precious objects and faceted landscapes. An additional jewel is on offer opening night — a zine that features the artwork. It comes complete with a hand-designed font inspired by Szczesna's work, which is downloadable for free under a Creative Commons license — no heist required.”
