Tonight, get a glimpse into feminist art's annals with two yet-to-be-released documentaries made by renowned figures amongst its ranks — Joan Braderman and San Francisco's own Lynn Hershman Leeson. Award-winning documentarian Braderman previews The Heretics, a first-person account of her time with the storied collective the Heresies. Hershman Leeson breaks in Women Art Revolution, a compendium of important moments in feminist art history told through rare nuggets of film and video footage. Both directors will be on hand to speak about their projects, along with Margaret Harrison, feminist trailblazer famous (and infamous) for her The Bodies Are Back series of works on paper on view at Intersection this month.
