Animal Collective are pushing boundaries again, this time by making a visual album. They've teamed up with filmmaker Danny Perez, who has done live visuals for Black Dice, to create ODDSAC. The acronym stands for "Occipital Dynamic Dysfunctional Surrealism [by] Animal Collective" and the visuals are as Merry-Prankster-acid-test-esque as the title suggests. AC's tripped-out electronica gets complemented by fire-filled, kaleidoscopic shots of oozing marshmallows and walls bleeding oil. See if you can spot band members Deacon as a vampire, Avey Tare encrusted in red glitter playing an auto-harp, and Geologist's face melting.
