“Innovation runs in Steven Ellison’s family: his great aunt was Alice Coltrane. Ellison weaves bass-invaded, abstract hip-hop under the pseudonym Flying Lotus. Tonight he stops into Mezzanine to promote his upcoming album, Cosmogramma. Listen out for Thom Yorke guesting on the track "… And The World Laughs With You.” Adult Swim viewers might also recognize "Massage Situation", which features in the Baggage Room bump during commercial breaks. This time around, Flying Lotus will also be getting creative with some seizure-inducing visuals. Expect images of nudie ladies and mad scientist brain surgery.”
