Great American Music Hall says…

Around the 4th of July in 2008 Pinetop Perkins, Hubert Sumlin, Sugar Blue, Willie Smith and Bob Stroger assembled in New York, NY to work with the crew of the upcoming film "The Perfect Age of Rock and Roll" to film a short sequence of the film and add a song to the soundtrack. The filming went so well they nailed the songs on the first run and several of the guys were given speaking parts. This exceptional film that is the story of an aging rock band who returns to their roots to capture the magic of their one great hit album, won the Best Picture Award at the Newport Film Festival in 2009 and will be released in 2010 internationally. The Perfect Age of Rock and Roll Blues Band will be joined by Muddy Waters Band alumni Steady Rollin Bob Margolin starting in the fall of 2009 as a touring entity. Together this band represents over 300 years of touring history. They have won several Grammy Awards, have had over 60 Blues Music Award Nominations and over 30 wins. These veteran performers range in age from 60 to 96 and are the blues history onstage. Special guests tonight include Elvin Bishop and Tim Reynolds, as well as Mark Karan and Jemimah Puddleduck.
