Bonnie Banks' brain must be a wonderful world of futuristic robots, repurposed industrial waste, and extremely loud electronica. The science fiction fanatic plays with these elements and more through his art. Banks has an encyclopedic knowledge of the genre, and was even pen pals with Minority Report author Philip K. Dick. Step into Banks' universe tonight for the his final performance of a month-long stint at the Lab. Expect a spacey, futuristic noise freak-out that will transport you to another dimension. The force is strong with this one.

The Lab says…

Bonnie Banks uses drawings, videos, costumes, sets, sculptures, and music to conjure imagined worlds without temporal or spatial constraints. These works are frequently used as inspiration and blueprint for collaborative endeavors. For this residency, Bonnie Banks has organized a series of performances and a visual arts exhibition showcasing several of his ongoing collaborative projects including the concept art bands Rubber ((0) Cement and Scummerai, along with Brutal Sound Effects and Godwaffle Noise Pancakes: two reccurring series that provide a platform for the experimental noise community.
