“What's better than a clothing auction featuring local fashion designers' one-of-a-kind pieces? How about if the clothing auction is combined with a striptease? The Lab's 5th annual fashion auction fundraiser returns tonight with a cast of local celebrities peddling beautiful clothes for a good cause. Male burlesque troupe SF Boylesque performs while spoken word poet Michelle Tea and artist Danyol Leon emcee. Models include Fauxnique, the first biological woman to win the Miss Trannyshack pageant; local sculptural artist Kirk Stoller; and renowned fashion model Philip Huang. Go for the show, but consider dropping some dough, too — these models thank you for taking the clothes off of their backs.

Literary fashion plate Michelle Tea emcees this celebration of independent fashion spirit. Bodacious Bay Area performers catwalk the runway as creations by local designers are auctioned right off their bodies. A burlesque lineup including SF Boylesque gets the crowd in the mood, while a trunk show brimming with goodies ensures plenty of options to wrangle some hot clothing and accessories and take home a treasure or two.
