Siouxsie Sioux (born Susan Ballion) got her start at age 19, filling the slot of a last-minute cancellation at Malcolm McLaren's 100 Club Punk Festival in 1976. Backed by Sid Vicious on drums, she performed a 20-minute improvised version of the Lord's Prayer and Siouxsie and the Banshees were born. The female rock icon has been cited as a musical influence on everyone from Morrissey to Garbage's Shirley Manson, and tonight, Trannyshack salutes her goth-punk legacy. An all-star cast of performers includes Fauxnique, Anna Conda, and Heklina, so expect music and outrageousness. FYI: Siouxsie claimed to hate cowboys and took her stage name as a tribute to the Native American tribe.

DNA Lounge says:

Trannyshack continues its series of superstar tribute nights with a salute to one of the strongest, most compelling female rock performers of all time: Siouxsie Sioux! She made a name for herself as a central figure in the UK punk movement of the late 1970s, and (with the Banshees) made her musical mark with post-punk masterpieces such as "Christine," "Happy House," "Israel," "Arabian Nights," and "Cities in Dust." Inspiring countless young girls and boys to express their darker side, Siouxsie herself became a style icon with her signature Gothic makeup and spiky black hair. As a result of her unique persona, Siouxsie is truly one in a million, and a true Trannyshack icon.
