“Seattle-based musician Josh "J" Tillman is best known as the drummer of Fleet Foxes. But he also has indie-folk credentials all his own: he's penned and recorded seven solo albums over the last six years. Tillman is also well-known for his magnificent beard that like looks like it belongs on a Civil War general. His fans are so enamored with it that he receives catcalls like "I want to live in your beard" during gigs. It's not a folkster fashion statement though: he's maintained facial fuzz for years due to a nerve condition that affects his right eye and makes it hard to see his face while shaving.
