“One night in 2007, Ra Ra Riot were on the verge of releasing their first EP, when bandmate John Pike disappeared following an afterparty and was never seen alive again. The band's reemergence from that tragedy is reflected in its live presence, even five years later. Onstage, Ra Ra Riot perform like a group of talented college friends who are playing their hearts out for the joy of each other and for their friends past and present.
