“Come out and celebrate San Francisco Jewish Film Festival's 31st birthday. Among this year's highlights: Kirk Douglas gets the Freedom of Expression Award, with an accompanying screening of Stanley Kubrick's Spartacus (1960); the Jews In Toons program screens episodes that featured Jews from Family Guy, South Park, and The Simpsons; and the acclaimed film Mabul (The Flood) opens the festival at the Castro Theatre, followed by an opening night party at the Swedish American Hall. Famous actors and cartoon characters are just some of the festival's whole mishpocheh.”
Founded in 1980, the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival is the first and largest of its kind in the world. Today, we are more than a festival: we are the leading advocate for independent Jewish cinema.
