“Every San Franciscan who's ever rode the Muni probably has a story to tell. And we never get tired of hearing other people's yarns about their public transit misadventures. That's exactly the service that two Muni lovers/haters decided to provide in 2008. Their brainchild, Muni Diaries, is a website about all things Muni. The forum is a treasure trove, containing everything from community discussions about "your favorite F-Market streetcar," to tales of embarrassing altercations and irate pregnant women encountered while en route. Tonight, Muni Diaries urges commuters to take their stories to the stage at the Elbo Room. Expect hilarious anecdotes, strong drinks, and perhaps even some poetry – for evidence, check out "A Song for the 38-Geary" or this Kubrick-inspired short iPhone film recording the outbound ride from Van Ness to Church.”
