About Munchi & Moombahton: Moombahton as a genre and as a movement has been steadily growing support and notoriety over the past few years, and much of that recognition is due to Munchi. Throughout 2010 Munchi showed off his creative flair as a producer, releasing monthly EPs of various genres of bass music such as baile funk, dubstep, cumbia, kuduro, and baltimore club, however it was his moombahton releases that quickly got the attention of those watching the growth of the genre. At this point it’s virtually impossible to know moombahton and not know his name. A Dominican resident of the Netherlands, Munchi has longed specialized in in the transformation of reggaeton and dutch house into the magic that is now moombahton. As he continues to showcase his clever weaving of Afro-Latino sounds with current trends in club and bass music, The INTL and BLAP Productions are happy to bring Munchi into Public Works for his first appearance in San Francisco. About Jillionaire: With over fifteen years of experience, the Jillionaire has created a unique sound which mashes indie dance and big room house with the caribbean rhythms of soca and dancehall. In 2009 the Jillionaire stole the show at London’s Notting Hill Carnival with his unique Tropical Bass sound. He went on to tour with Major Lazer across the United Kingdom, France, and the Netherlands. In 2010 Jillionaire’s travelled to the four corners of the world, kicking off the year at New Zealand’s WOMAD Festival, followed by gigs across the UK and Europe.
