“The SF Yellow Bike Project is a community bike project that takes donated bike parts and uses them to churn out functional bikes. No small feat, given that they're volunteer-run and donation-reliant. But this is the Little Yellow Bike That Could — not only are they throwing their inaugural dance party and fundraiser, they got local favorite Hottub to play the event. (FYI, the Oakland-based trio of ladies describe their sound as "John Waters meets Daft Punk at a 2 Live Crew show.") Bring any bike parts you'd like to donate to the cause; donating a complete bike (functional or not) gets you free entry. Then get ready to shake what your mama gave you. Bicyclists party hardy.”
