In January of 1993, Noise Pop began humbly as a one-day event with five acts. Nineteen years later, San Francisco's once-subdued celebration of music has blossomed into a six-day-long smorgasbord with over thirty bands, DJs, films, and parties. You can start the 20th installment of this entertainment marathon off on the right foot with the Pop-Up Get-Down presented by SF Weekly. Loosen your hips under the sway of local DJs and as much beer as you care to imbibe as you get into the mood for a week of frantically dashing between shows you "just can’t miss!"

This event is free with RSVP. Please send your name to sfwrsvp@sfweekly.com to be added on the list.

Noise Pop says…

SF Weekly and All Shook Down will help kick off the Noise Pop festival's 20th anniversary with a pop-up party featuring DJs and live music from local artists. Hang out and grab a beer with the writers of SF Weekly's music section while starting off the festival season right.
