“There's a lot to love about Lisa Geertsen's anatomically correct sculptures of the human heart. A blacksmith, sculptor, co-owner of Firelight Forge, and instructor at Pratt Fine Arts Center, Geertsen creates works that beautifully depict that most romantic muscle. Show of Hearts has become an annual exhibition where, each February, Geertsen shares her latest labors of love. Last year's show included a Twin-Peaks-inspired collaboration called Log Lady, and this year's batch of hearts is also sure to incorporate pop culture and powerful ideas.”
